高鹤年(1872-1962),名恒松,字野人,号隐士,别号终南侍者、云山道人、云溪道人。祖籍安徽贵池,后迁居江苏兴化。 父正刚、母王氏,虽家道殷实,衣食无忧,但自幼体弱多病。8岁人蒙馆。9岁因同学陈氏夭殇,突然失去伴读好友,使他伤感异常,惆怅不已。10多岁时,偶游云台山,遇到一位高僧赠给他几本佛经,“披读之,如贫获宝,似渴得泉,知三界无安,犹如火宅,人命危脆,不能偷安,始有忏悔访道朝礼名山之志”。光绪十六年(1890),年仅19岁便踏上了漫漫的行脚之路。在漫长的岁月中,克服了常人难以想象的困难,仅凭一双脚踏遍了祖国的名山大川,历时35年,将沿途之见闻汇集成《名山游访记》。
