罗伯特·博世基金会(Robert Bosch Stiftung)与汉堡媒体学院(Hamburg MediaSchool)为加强中德之间在文化领域的交流和合作专门设立了“中德媒体使者”交流项目。从2008年起，德国博世基金开始从中德两国挑选媒体记者，从事3个月的交换互访活动。 由于媒体记者的话语权和敏锐性，这项活动对加深两国文化的了解起到了积极推动作用。本书即是从项目启动以来至今所有记者的交流文章中加以甄选和加工集结而成。作者皆为德国知名媒体记者，如德国西南广播电台记者吴策、德国电视一台新闻编辑部王思婷、财经周报《欧元》记者麦丹妮、《金融时报》记者茹特·芬德等。
