《建国以来毛泽东文稿》是一部供研究用的多卷本文献集，编入毛泽东建国后的以下三类文稿：（一）手稿（包括文章、指示、批示、讲话提纲、批注、书信、诗词、在文件上成段加写的文字等）；（二）经他审定过的讲话和谈话记录稿；（三）经他审定用他名义发的其他文稿。这些文稿，少量曾公开发表，比较多的在党内或大或小范围印发过，还有一部分未曾印发过。其中包含为实践证明是正确的判断和观点，未经毛泽东审定的讲话和谈话记录稿，不编入这部文献集。 这部文献集，按时间顺序编辑，分册出版。
