中央政治局原常委同志《南粤大地创新篇：世纪之交广东改革发展的探索与实践》一书收录了同志1998年3月至2002年11月在广东工作时的讲话、谈话、文章、报告、批示、书信等文稿169篇、图片229张，绝大部分内容为首次公开发表。 本书真实记录了世纪之交广东应对危机、迎难而上、增创新优势 的发展历程，生动反映了南粤大地广大干部群众百折不挠、顽强 拼搏、奋力争先的精神风貌，对于全面贯彻落实党的十八大和十八届三中、四中、五中、六中全会精神，在以习同志为核心的党中央坚强领导下，实现全面建成小康社会宏伟目标和中华民族伟大复兴，具有重要意义。
